Because of Pyramic Base Coat's color, it is easy to see where the base coat and finish coats have been applied. This helps ensure the proper coverage rates of the finish coat are installed, giving the roof surface the best performance possible.
Typical dark-colored built-up roofs can absorb over 70% of the solar energy that reaches them, creating temperatures over 180 °F (82.2 °C). Studies confirm that the Pyramic system can reduce roof temperatures by 50 80°F (10-26.7 °C) and save significant amounts of cooling energy during summer.
Pyramic Base Coat eliminates the flammability and toxicity hazards associated with solvent-based coatings. Pyramic Base Coat has no irritating or unpleasant odors.
